My 1st learning log

     In the first week of studying in Computer Application for English Language Teaching Subject, I  learned a lot of knowledge  about the meaning of a weblog, types of weblog, interesting words, the acronyms about technology and what is CMC tools.

     💙The first one is the meaning of a weblog. ----A weblog is an online journal that an individual can continuously update with his or her own words, ideas, and thoughts through software that enables one to easily do so. Unlike a standard website, weblog entries are made by all basic document formatting, like spacing, bold , italics, underline and creating links, requires no knowledge of HTML or FTP.

     💚The second one is types of weblog. ---Three types of weblogs for use in ESL Classrooms

1  ✏ The tutor blog

2  ✏ The learner blog

3  ✏ The class blog

    💛The third one is interesting words. There are a technophobe, a digital native, a digital immigrant and a tech-savvy.  

1. A technophobe is a person who is afraid of new technology.

2. A digital native is a person who grows up using technology and who, thus, feels comfortable and confident with it.

3. A digital immigrant is a person who has come late to the world of technology.

4. A tech-savvy  is one who has high proficiency in the use of technology. An individual who displays an ability to effectively employ desktop/laptop computers and consumer-level technological gadgets.

    💜The third one is the acronyms ; CALL, TELL, CMC, CAI.

CALL = Computer-Assisted Language Learning

TELL = Technology-Enhanced Language Learning
CMC = Computer- Mediated Communication
CAI = Computer-Assisted Instruction

    ❤The last one is about CMC tools. What is CMC tools? CMC is computers connected in local or global networks focusing on human-to-human communication. Two types of CMC are synchronous tools and asynchronous tools.

✏Synchronous tools enable real-time communication and collaboration in a "same time-different place"
mode.  

✏Asynchronous tools enable communication and collaboration over a period of time through a "different time-different place" mode.
